This unfortunate lady sustained a breast implant infection soon after she had undergone breast implant surgery by another surgeon. After having her infected implants removed, she came to Dr. Randal Haworth, a breast implant augmentation specialist to assess her condition. He confirmed that any signs of infection had long since disappeared and so he performed a sub muscular (under the pectoralis major muscle) breast augmentation utilizing Silicone Memory Gel implants.
Though persistent signs of asymmetry are present, they are of no concern to the patient and she was delighted with the natural tear-drop shaped results.

Infections after breast augmentation are 1 to 2% nationally but Dr. Haworth, a breast augmentaion expert in Beverly Hills, has a rate of 0.5%, well below the national average. If an implant does, unfortunately, get infected, the implant generally needs to be surgically removed. Antibiotic treatment alone is inadequate. The soonest a patient can undergo a repeat augmentation in the same breast is three months. Chances of a repeat infection are exceedingly remote.

An exceedingly natural result was obtained after this sub muscular breast augmentation. Six month follow-up photographs are presented here.
