This unfortunate young lady had a breast augmentation by another surgeon with less than desirable results. She ended up with saline breast implant ptosis or in other words, "bottoming out" of her implants. Consequently, her nipple areolar complexes were rotated upwards to the point where she could not hide them in her brassiere and her implants were severely protruding from her skin inferiorly.

This is a very difficult problem to correct, and is performed through what is called a capsulorraphy (or recreation of the lower crease of the breast by precise suture placement into the tissue around the ribs). Basically, Dr. Randal Haworth of Beverly Hills, being a specialist in breast augmentation and implant revision, sewed the lower aspects of the breast pocket closed.
This is generally performed in the upright position during surgery while the patient is asleep and attaining symmetry is a very difficult process. Three-month follow-up photographs are presented. The implants were downsized and changed from saline to silicone (Memory Gelâ„¢ Mentor) to minimize visible rippling . She still opted for a large size, albeit one that is more proportional to her frame.
