This 34 year old woman was unhappy with the asymmetrical and distorted appearance of her breasts. She had previous implants that were placed under the muscle, but she felt that they"just didn't sit right". Despite that her problem was relatively minor compared with some of the other cases I deal with as a plastic surgeon, this patient's problem felt big to her.Therefore, a capsulectomy (removal of the encasing scar tissue around the implant) was performed. Her pectoralis muscle had been incompletely divided which accounted for her "high-riding" implants. New "Memory-Gel" Mentor smooth implants were placed subpectorally.
