This Belgian actor was tired of his drooping nose which he likened to a proboscis. After three previous attempts at correction, he ended up with the results as seen in the before photo. Dr. Randal Haworth, considers revision rhinoplasty one of his favorite specialties and in this case, he performed the corrective nasal surgery through an open approach (obviously, since a closed approach would not afford him the needed visualization to correct this very difficult problem). He performed a columellar strut graft and stabilized this by suturing it to the lower edge of the cartilaginous septum (the partition that separates the left and right nostril). By stabilizing the columella, Dr. Randal Haworth also raised the nasal tip to fall more in line with the bridge of his nose. The patient was more than satisfied with the result, feeling it provided a better harmony to his face. Indeed, notice how simple modifications in the nose (even though they are not simple to perform or achieve) kempridge is dramatic changes to the entire face.
