This patient came to Dr. Haworth, rhinoplasty expert Beverly Hills, complaining that she hated her nose for "all of her life". She, seeking a rhinoplasty here in Beverly Hills, felt that her nose was too large with an excessive bump and hanging tip. She came to Dr. Randal Haworth, a plastic surgeon situated in Beverly Hills, to correct her nose and balance it with the rest of her facial features. Dr. Haworth also realized that she had a good strong jawline with prominent chin and therefore making a nose too small would create a provocative disharmony in the face. He ultimately performed a rhinoplasty through a closed technique, in order remove her hump, refine her nasal tip and elevate her radix, (the angle formed between the bottom of the forehead and the top of the nose as seen in profile). One-year follow-up is presented after hump removal, tip refinement and nasal bone narrowing. Note the improved harmony by elevating the top of the nose to a higher level (to the latitudinal level of the upper eyelash line) thereby making the nose seem to be less projecting then if the hump was removed by without radix elevation.
