This lady in her mid thirties had no sparkle to her face. Her lips were expressionless, "just there" so to speak with an element of sadness. This was compounded by jowls and excess heaviness under her chin. Fortunately, she had good skin elasticity which would help her achieve maximum results from lipo-micro-cannula sculpture of her neck and jowls. This was done along with fat transfer to her pre-jowl sulcus (hollow just in front of her jowl-fat). An upper lip lift (superomedial muscle hemming), lower V-Y plasty (to elevate and protrude the lower lip in its central third) and a DAO release (through incisions inside the mouth) were performed. This case is just one of many illustrating how modern lip reshaping surgery involves adding a number of surgical ingredients to obtain beautiful and natural results.
