This patient had a relatively long upper lip in relationship to her total countenance. A deep muscle/periosteum suspension was performed with Dr Haworth's advanced OOS (Orbicularis Oris Suspension) Upper Lip Lift. Since the tensile lifting forces were directed deep to the skin, less stress was placed at the incision line leading to far better scarring, minimal nasal distortion and long lasting beautiful results, far eclipsing other methods (such as skin-only Italian, deep plane, modified). With the OOS (Orbicularis Oris Suspension) lip lift, a sensual "O" shaped lip vs an "A-frame" or rabbit look is more likely to be achieved.
