This 60-year old woman felt invisible, that her once-attractive self had disappeared. By appropriately directing upward tension upon the skin flaps within the hairline, the rest of the facial skin will drape effortlessly over the natural ear topography. Consequently, upon trimming and closing the skin edges, there is little-to-no tension upon the incision line and therefore minimal distortion of the natural ear anatomy. A near invisible scar is obtained.
