This young woman had a breast augmentation via silicone breast implants placed above the muscle a number of years back. Gradually, she developed asymmetrical hardening of her breasts indeed, she was at an increased risk for this occurrence since she was "above the muscle".

As a breast implant revision specialist in Beverly Hills, Dr. Randal Haworth removed the scar tissue in its entirety (total capsulectomy) and created a new pocket under the pectoralis major muscle, after sewing the pocket above the muscle closed. He put in the new  silicone memory gel implants in the newly formed space "under the muscle" in order to create a more natural looking breast and minimize any chances of re-encapsulation.

One-year follow-up photographs are presented.
