This woman in her mid-30s had undergone a previous saline implant breast augmentation above the muscle. After having two children and breast-fed both of them, she felt it was time to rejuvenate her, what she described as "sagging breasts". She came to Dr. Haworth, a specialist in breast implant revision and breast lifts located in Beverly Hills, to help her attain her goals. Dr. Haworth first had her undergo a mammogram (he feels that all patients over the age of 35 should undergo a mammogram to detect any early signs of breast cancer which may not be otherwise palpable by physical exam). After confirming that there were no signs of tumors (including any microcalcifications), So that she would best benefit from an exchange of her implants to silicone, placed "under the muscle" in a dual-plane technique (also known as bi-planar) as well as a vertical breast lift (also known as a lollipop /LeJour type). He performed the procedure without complications and placing larger implants in accordance with her wishes. Four-month follow-up is presented. Note the very acceptable score resulting from the vertical breast lift (mastopexy). As a specialist in breast lifts, Dr. Haworth chooses the appropriate type to match the respective problem or degree of breast sagging the patient may manifest.
