This woman in her early 30s had a disastrous result from past breast augmentation surgery. Even though she wanted to go large in terms of her final look, this does not mean that she should end up with an asymmetrical and deformed look. Indeed, even when patients request double D cups, I strive to give every patient of mine a natural, teardrop shaped breast that not only looks, but feels natural as well.

In this case, the patient sustained "bottomed out" breast implant appearance (breast implant ptosis). In other words, the implant was falling out below her inframammary crease. She also was lacking a natural cleavage.

Consequently, during her surgery, I performed a scar release (capsulectomy) along the her inner aspects of her breast pocket while I sutured closed the lower aspects of the same in order to correct the "bottoming out".

A one-year follow-up is presented.
