This Asian female was in her early fifties. She looked tired and had all the visible signs of aging, including a loose neck, brow ptosis, descent of her midface (along with nasolabial folds and malar bags [festoon-like bags over her cheek bones]) and jowls. A modified classic facelift was in order along with an endoscopic browlift and a lower blepharoplasty. However, the patient opted for a less complicated plan. Therefore I performed an endoscopic subperiosteal midface lift utilizing the Endotine ST device, facial fat transfer to her pre-jowl area and nasolabial folds, as well as a lower blepharoplasty and submental (under the chin) liposuction. I performed the surgery live at the annual meeting of Asian Plastic Surgery in Asan Medical Center, Seoul, S. Korea in 2007 where I was the keynote speaker focusing on midfacial and periorbital rejuvenation.
