This woman in her mid-30s, came in complaining of her tired looking lower eyes. She felt that they did not reflect her true inner spirit. As a specialist of aesthetic eyelid surgery in Beverly Hills, Dr. Randal Haworth assessed that her lower eyelids suffered from dermatochalasis (excess, crepey lower eyelid skin) and hollowing. Consequently, a lower blepharoplasty including a lower lid pinch skin excision and fat transfer to the hollows were performed. A six-month follow-up is provided. Note the smooth result without a change in the lower eyelid shape which is a main cause of concern for almost all patients undergoing the same procedure. Careful technique along with an acute understanding of the eyelid anatomy and architectural integrity is important in order to obtain a successful result.
