This young model was complaining of sagging buttocks and stretch marks, plaguing her buttocks and posterior upper thighs. By employing the needling device Roller-CIT® by Environ™, Dr. Randal Haworth of Beverly Hills was able to significantly reduce her stretch marks and even elevate her buttocks to some degree. Note the dramatically less folding of the infragluteal fold (the area just below the buttock crease located at the upper portion of the posterior thigh)caused by compressive forces excerted by the buttock itself. A common mistake among inexperienced plastic surgeons is to liposuction this fold under the assumption that it represents true localized fat. However, by doing so, one weakens the buttock support further resulting in further inferior migration of the buttock and lowering of the fold. By employing aggressive needling with the device,Dr Haworth induces an "avalanche" of collagen induction, thereby firming and strengthening the skin and support of the area treated. Fat-soluble antioxidant vitamin A and C are employed both before, during and after the procedure to enhance the end result. The accompanying photographs represent a one-year follow-up.
