This patient lost a significant amount of weight (over 150 pounds) which was evident in the amount of loose skin and tissue enveloping her face and body. Included with this were the effects of gravity and severe weight change wrought upon her breasts. Indeed, she had significant asymmetry of her breasts including a left one that was larger and more sagging (Grade III ptosis). She came to breast augmentation specialist, Dr. Randal Haworth in Beverly Hills, to seek correction of her problem.
He suggested putting saline implants subpectorally ("under the muscle") to produce a more natural, less round and "stuck-on" appearance while minimizing rippling as well as a simultaneous mastopexy (breast lift).
Before
After
After performing this breast augmentation with saline implants under the muscle, HAWORTH chose to perform an anchor scar mastopexy in order to give her the most lifted and natural result possible.
Later, the patient came back to Dr. HAWORTH requesting a larger size. At this point, memory gel silicone implants became more widely available and Dr. Haworth chose to replace her old saline implants with new "Memory Gel" Mentor silicone breast implants.

One can compare these results after exchanging her salline implants with larger silicone ones, keeping them "under the muscle" with her original saline implants augmentation results by Dr. HAWORTH as seen above.
